Title: Crimson Moon
Series: The Dark Woods
Author: Sherri A. Wingler
Genre: Paranormal
In the old days,

people whispered about the wolf, said he came only at night, and only by the

light of the full moon. They locked their doors and huddled close to their

fires, safe in the knowledge they could prepare for his coming. The truth is, no

one is safe, because the wolf walks in the skin of the man. Always.

Harlow Hayes is a runaway, thief, and failed Southern belle. Forced to grow up

fast after what her mama delicately referred to as, ‘the incident,’ she learns

the hard way not all strangers are kind, real monsters hide in plain sight, and

family can be found in the most unexpected places. Harlow Hayes is about to meet the Wolf.

Sherri Wingler is the author of The Immortal Sorrows and The Dark Woods series. She lives and works (way more than full-time) in Indiana.
Sherri shares her home with her husband, Steve, too many rescued kitty cats, and one co-dependent Shih Tzu named Spanky. When she isn’t writing, or working in the real world, her spare time is spent raising money and awareness for animal charities, in the hopes of saving at least a few little critters.
Sherri is currently hard at work on her next book.

Review Of Wings Of Shadow

Love this!

11256_1541582612779471_5521237775505810981_nI was lucky to be sent an ARC the second book in The Immortal Sorrow’s series by Sherri A Wingler. I discovered this book series last year, to say I enjoyed the first in the series, would be an understatement. I have a habit of reading and re-reading books that inspire me and the first book Wings of Darkness, was read three times before I got my hands on the second in the series. I was both itching with anticipation and terrified that the second book, Wings of Shadow might not be as good as book one. My fears were unfounded.
Sherri Wingler takes a chance in Wings of Shadow, by creating a whole world purely from her own imaginings. This does not always work, in some novels, it can become so surreal that it is hard to identify with. This was not the case with Wings of Shadow. I…

Wings of Shadow:  Book 2 of The Immortal Sorrows Series by Sherri Wingler

Mortals never see me in their final moments. Isabel saw me. From the very beginning. She saw me, knew me for the monster I am, and still she loved me. That beautiful, young woman with fire in her blood. I wanted her the moment I laid eyes on her. She was perfect, made just for me by a cruel and merciless twist of Fate. Isabel was my mate and my match, in every way, but loving me destroyed her.
Fate stole my love from me, simply to watch me suffer. Oh, it had cost her, but not nearly enough. A few dead Reapers were nothing compared to what I would do when I found her. The River of the Dead could run red with the blood of the guilty, and it would never be enough. My…

An Update on The Immortal Sorrows

So much has been going on with the series lately, that I thought I’d just make one big update. First, Wings of Darkness, the Kindle version is FREE from July 26-29. And amazingly (to me), it has hit #1 in two of the three sub-categories it’s listed in on Amazon.com and #4 in the third, as of this posting. I am extremely happy about this:)
Also, the softcover edition is currently available through Amazon, and I believe they have it on sale. I love my Kindle, but there’s just something about the weight and feel of a real book. Nothing quite compares. There is currently a Goodreads giveaway going on for 3 signed copies, as well.
For those of you looking for info about book 2, Wings of Shadow, it’s about half-way finished, and it’s taken some surprising turns. I had my plotting board all set up, and once I started writing it, well, let’s just say that some of the characters surprised me. I think you’ll really like the little guy named Squirrel, in particular. He has some very unique talents.
Several loose ends get tied up in the 2nd book, and some new ones get unraveled. As of right now, I have a four book series planned. Wings of Shadow will stay with Izzy and Asher. A new villain is introduced, as well as an old and crazy one. (You know you want to know what became of Fate.) The third book belongs to Grim and Gwen, mainly because those two are sooo much fun to write. And the fourth book will bring everyone back together again. I haven’t ruled out the possibility of more books or short stories for this series, but this is just what I have in mind so far.
The Immortal Sorrows series has its own Facebook page now, so be sure to like it. Stop by and feel free to discuss any and all aspects of the series. I love to hear from my readers and take every opportunity to pick their brains. Feel free to friend me on Facebook as well. If you don’t look like a stalker, I’ll be happy to accept.
So there it is, if you haven’t gotten a Kindle copy yet, now is the time to do it. Be sure to go on over to Goodreads and sign up for the giveaway.
Oh, and while I’m thinking about it, I’m starting a giveaway on my website for a free signed copy of Wings of Darkness. The website’s giveaway will officially start August 1, and the winner will be announced October 1. The winner will be notified by email. If you’d like to get in on that all you have to do is sign up for the email (on the lower left hand side of the screen) at http://www.sherriwingler.com. If you’ve already signed up for email alerts from my website, then you’re golden and don’t have to do it again.

Please be sure to like, share, favorite, tweet, etc. Thanks for reading this, and have a wonderful day!
